Why this blog?
I am a born-again Christian. My faith is the most important thing in the world—or rather, who I put my faith in. I’m interested in discussing religion with other individuals, because I know that faith experiences vary greatly, and I know that faith has eternal implications.
This is not a place for tolerance; it is a place for discussion. I firmly believe that if we were all completely tolerant no one would have any beliefs or any passions. Everyone would walk around patting everyone else on the head, saying in placating tones, “Oh, isn’t that splendid that you believe such and such,” all the while not feeling strongly enough about their own beliefs to share them. The world would be bland and very boring.
This is a site for discussion and honesty. It is a place to express sincere beliefs.
This is not, however, a place for rude remarks, unfounded attacks, or the like. Please be respectful of other people, even if you cannot agree with their views or faith.
Thank you for visiting!

Hi there. Thanks for the comment you left on my blog. I disagreed with some of the points you made, but I felt that you were correct to point out the following: “People are inclined to use religion as an excuse for their bad behavior. This does not necessary even mean the religion endorses it.” I’ve amended my post to include a reference to your comment.
Thanks,
jdc.
